Did this come out before or after Big

The movie with Tom Hanks

3 months before Big. I thought this movie was better but for some reason everyone liked Big a lot more.

yeah i thin it kinda stands out as a goofball offbeat sometimes corny in an 80s movie kinda way but still has its own unique attributes

The 2 movies really aren't that similar, Vice Versa is about a father and son reversing roles. Big is about a boy making a wish and waking up a grown man. Its apples and oranges. A more accurate comparison would be between Vice Versa and Freaky Friday.

The main plots are alot different though.

Plus the fact that vice versa is based on a very old book/film (of the same name),on which "Freaky Fryday" is also based.

Thank you for saying all this. It has bothered me for years that people have considered "Big" and "13 Going on 30" to be similar to "Vice Versa," "Like Father, Like Son," "18 Again," or "Freaky Friday." Someone even said "Big" was 10 times better than "Vice Versa." But you're right, "Big" and 13 Going on 30" technically aren't all that similar to the others mentioned. The characters in those two films are still themselves. They don't swap bodies with a grownup; rather they acquire their own adult bodies. "freaky Friday," "Vice Versa" and "Like Father, Like Son," however involve body-swapping between a same-sex parent and child--mother and daughter in the three "Freaky Friday" films, and fathers and sons in the other two films. "18 Again" also involves body-swapping between relatives, but this time it's a grandfather and grandson.

The recently released "17 Again" is now being illogically compared to these films also. No body swapping in this one either. It's more like "Big" or "13 Going on 30" in reverse.

They are all 'body swop' films, that's the common denominator.

Sorry ignore that I missed the end of what you wrote!
