...is coming up this Christmas. Anyone think anything exciting/special will happen?

shareI remember watching this the night that it originally aired. I can NOT believe that more time has passed between the time the Brady Bunch premiered and this as between this and now. But-anyone else think it is strange that Mike is a successful architect and Carol was working-and a trip to Japan drained their entire bank account? An account in which they had supposedly used to save money "for years"?

That is incorrect. Sounds like you're like the Hollywood writers: you can't count. The Brady Bunch aired in 1969 and this movie aired in 1988. That is 19 years, even though Mike says in his speech that it is 20 years. That was wrong, it was 19 years. Between 1988 and 2008 is 20 years.
So, it has been MORE time between the time the movie aired and today than between the show aired and the movie aired.

No need to insult me. Instead or "premiered" I should have said "pilot was filmed" and instead of "more time" I should have said "as much time". It never ceases to amaze me how seriously the people on the IMDB take this stuff.
