No, he wasn't *that* bad, basically just a bratty kid who clearly was raised by dismissive parents (which is exactly how I would envision Marcia and Wally, what with all their "modern" ways of doing everything). While he was energetic, during the Brady's he was certainly the most blunt of the children, never afraid to ask a question, compared to Kevin who was basically just "there".
Personally, Jessica irritated me far more. Her vapid superiority complex over her brother (which was oddly enforced by the whole family) not to mention her constant knee-jerk reaction to tattle, just made me think she would end up making far more mistakes in life than Mickey.
You know, looking back at those children, compared to the Brady bunch kids when they were little...you can really see a huge difference in how they wrote for the kids. On the Brady bunch, the kids were written as mostly intelligent (save for Cindy) and had multiple facets to them, but Jessica, Mickey, Kevin and Patty are written fairly generic. Marcia's kids are whiney and bratty, Greg's son is basically a non-entity and Patty never left the stage of "toy doll", with the all emotion *that* entails.
