now that i have seen this movie again as an adult was it just me or did it just seem like marcia had no dialogue in this movie?i mean the storyline in marcia's case was about her husband not her.she doesnt even have any speaking lines for the last half hour of the movie she was just seen and she really didnt have many lines to begin with.when they did the follow up series the bradys her replacement leah ayres had mory storyline than maureen mccormick did in this film.did anyone else notice this?
I know what you mean. And now that you mention it, obviously Mike & Carol had most of the speaking parts....and what's interesting is, when it comes to the kids, is it seemed like we saw and heard Cindy the most. Like she's the one that walks up to Carol towards the end when Mike is trapped, and those 2 have that dialogue where they break into "O Come All Ye Faithful". Also, a little bit earlier that in the movie, she's one of those who brings forth their "problem" at the dinner table. What makes it interesting is Cindy is the only character that wasn't played by an original cast member.
Maybe it was because Marcia couldn't act worth a crap. Case in point listen to the brilliant way she delivers her lines during the argument with Wally after he loses his job, without any emotion or gusto whatsoever. It’s apparent they tried to showcase the strongest actors/actresses so they based the story mainly around Mom/Dad and Alice. But they didn’t exactly make it a classic either. Also, the new Cindy was total eye candy you gotta get her as much screen time as possible if you know what’s good for you.
Jennifer Runyon as Cindy Brady was very cute. I think the original story was that Susan Olsen couldn't do the movie because she was on her honeymoon. Then later she revealed she had wanted more money. Olsen has a great sense of humor. She was probably flattered that she was replaced with such an attractive actress.
