The original series was NEVER this corny

I mean - come on, "Don't be sorry, just be Wally", "It's another miracle on 34th Street!", Sam's Dear Jane letter to Alice.

It's cringeworthy.

Cindy being placed at the kid's table and being offended at not being "asked" to come.

The birthing scene at the beginning with the lady in labor overacting so bad that Robert Reed made fun of it behind the scenes. It turns out she was played by Lloyd Schwartz's wife I think.

Mike having a neighbor/friend who just happened to be a toy executive just in time to help poor Wally when he got laid off by Tyler Toys. Yeah right!

Alice having that Christmas apron all ready to go so she could be the Brady's housekeeper/chef/airport driver and all around personal slave. Not that they asked her to be but come on, why couldn't she just have relaxed and enjoyed her Christmas instead of overcompensating because Sam cheated on her?

Mike and Carol being instantly okay with Booby wasting their money on a business degree and going into a dangerous profession and lying about it.

Oh Come All ye Faithful was corny but I didn't mind that part because it was tied into their classic Christmas episode from 1969.

He was a dick for doing that.

You got to admit though that scene is very ridiculous. The way that woman in labor is doing her breath exercises and hamming it up. It's just cringeworthy. On top of that, Greg and his nurse wife are having a conversation about Christmas plans when she's in labor!

And Alice with goddamned pies! They could've at least let her sit down instead of worrying pies that everyone ate on her.

The thing that bothers me the most is how they all act like they haven't seen each other in 20 years. Greg greeted Cindy like she was some 3rd cousin he hadn't seen since they were children. Bobby hasn't been going to school for a year but Carol and Mike don't know it? When they go to pay his tuition each semester, wouldn't the school tell them he hasn't been attending?
