C Word
Was anybody else shocked by the line 'Don't be a *beep*
It was like if suddenly Wayne called Garth a *beep* in Wayne's World or something, it seemed out of place in a movie like this.

That word, though still very vulgar, is used much more in commonwealth countries than in the United States, so coming from a couple of Brits it made sense.
share2920's right, however I was a little taken aback by it ...and I am British!
I agree with your comment about if Wayne said it to Garth ...I would be knocked off my seat.
The c-word, is essentially the only word we have left that is taboo (apart from the N word) ...it's hard to laugh at it in the context of comedy unless you're living in a place where it is constantly used in context.
When I was younger, about 17/18, I called my boss a *beep* jokingly. He'd been called all the names under the sun and was normally very jovial about it and threw a few words back in jest, it was friendly banter. However, this word was the turn around. He took offence, but I meant it in a very jokey way, he wasn't a *beep* Things were never the same after that.
Use the c-word sparingly people!!!
You're all a bunch of coonts
I run around in circles, it is my metaphor
It wasn't being used for shock value, but rather as a play on words. The exact line is "Dick, don't be a *beep* It was part of the joke, and not meant to be a one word "shocker".
shareWhy would you be shocked? What's the matter with most Americans? They're only WORDS! Sure, you allow kids buying guns, but god forbid, they say a bad fåcking word. Jeez.
