Did Stone cared about the film?

I think he lost interest at some point. 2 o 3 scenes are very good, especially the ones in which Bogosian seems in danger against a faceless crowd (when he receives a mysterious pack, or in a basketball game). But other scenes he did carelessly, like that horrendous flashback, and the final scene.

Not sure how any of the people involved could drag themselves to the set each day - this film was awful! The sound is bad, and amazingly - for a film about talk radio - nobody ever says anything remotely interesting, let alone memorable. all the callers sound fake (I mean, I know they are, but they didn't have to sound it!). Yes, that flashback was awful too. I just wish he had been shot earlier so the film would end sooner.

I think its a pity, because the movie could have been a very good one with a better editing and much more effort, even in Stone hands.
In the process of translating the script into the movie they lost it. Stone has about 5 ideas for the whole movie, some of them are interesting, some others are awful, but all in all I wish he could have had more.
He does the rest of the movie as fast as he can, without care or interest.

I think it says on the production notes on the DVD that he didnt care much for it. I dont know why, but I think it's great.

I'm on the nightrain, ready to crash and burn
