Considering, the main guy got to have sex with a gorgeous woman, he didn't actually do that bad. If the guy had been more looser-like (instead of the hot shot lawyer), I would even say he got a good deal. Actually, it is a bit strange that the satanists would try to lure such successful men, who have everything going for them and means to fight back. Why not go for some total losers, like homeless men or nerds from high school - these guys would do anything for a chance to have sex with such a woman.
But anyway, Spellbinder was a nice eighties experience.
Well, I don't think he was thinking of that when they were about to carve out his heart with that ritual knife, with all due respect. But a good post, and you have raised a few questions.
Also, some did leave them? They burned the guy in that rooms head (just how did they do that? can any satanists/witches comment...is that really possible?)
Agreed on the fact it was weird they would try to lure these successful men, they would be missed, but I think that is why Grace, his secretary was killed too, she was the only one who was suspicious, and by making her death look an accident there was no real trail...the asian american cop definitely suspected though, he was smart and knew that the guy who was closest to him at the funeral had something to hide.

It makes sense that the police would become suspicious of a guy who worked at a place where male employees close to him disappeared every year.

While their next intended victim was a legal client from the same firm, there was no indication that other victims were groomed there, which means the total of victims from this particular firm -- assuming they successfully lured the man to his doom -- would be two. That's not too big of a tally. I'm sure they'd look elsewhere from then on so as not to draw suspicion.

They were committing human sacrifice every winter solstice to acquire/maintain their powers via black magic and this evidently required a quality human being. It's comparable (in a satanic way) to the way the Hebrews were instructed to not sacrifice an animal with defects or flaws in their religious ceremonies (Deuteronomy 17:1).
