Why is the song not listed in the credits?

I thought that George Harrison singing from the radio alarm clock. I looked in the credits for the name of the song but obviously didn't see it, as you point out, the song not being credited.

My guess is they didn't have to pay for the song the way they used it.

I'm not sure. In the VHS version of the movie, the song "Blind Alley" by Gary Wright plays there. It is a very odd switch.
