Does the VHS have more scenes than the MGM Limited DVD?

I was watching the trailer to this film, and there were shots and scenes not in my MGM Limited Edition DVD of the film. Also, the credited song "Blind Alley" by Gary Wright never plays once in the film.

Does the US VHS contain more scenes? (The trailer, it shows Daly jogging with his dog, spinning a basketball on his finger in his office, people walking through a graveyard, and the police showing up at Daly's door). Also on IMDb, an un-credited role states "Butler on Yacht." There is not a single yacht scene in the movie. (Atleast not on my MGM DVD version)

Does the US VHS version contain these scenes/longer version?

Good question that really needs an answer.

I just recently came across the trailer on youtube (the full film got took down-John travolta?!) anyhow, was just wondering the same thing. When I watched it previously on youtube, and on sci fi channel in the UK I am pretty sure it did not have those scenes.

Can anyone confirm if there is a US VHS version, and whether it has been converted to DVD and released on DVD? Wishful thinking, but maybe, just maybe.

Given other 80s movies have had the blu ray treatment, I really this could get a HD release also.

One the recently released Blu Ray, which features commentary from the director, the scene in the trailer of him jogging was from the original opening sequence of the film. That sequence established who the Tim Daly character was and explained his background and his relationship with his secretary. The director was upset that this was all cut out and believes it was done to sabotage the film.
