Something I just don't get about the reporter in the beginning...

In the beginning when the reporter asks Angela why she looks so much older Angela says something about massive drug use, which (of course) leads to the reporter asking Angela for drugs, (don't you hate it when that happens?)Anyways she gives the reporter a baggie of some kind of cleaning powder and sends her on her way.

This of course kills the reporter and we all learn a valuable lesson, mainly don't get your drugs from a psychotic killer with puritanical morals. What I want to know is how could she have not noticed the stuff wasn't what she asked for? I seem to remember Comet having a distinct smell and I am sure it must taste downright awful!

I just don't get how she could not notice, if I were going to put something in my body I would make damn sure that it was what it was supposed to be!

Is there anybody here who can tell me if this would happen to someone in real life ? Ive never actually done anything stronger then pot and Im curious about whether or not somebody who has or does do coke would be fooled by a baggie of Comet.

When Angela is putting the cleaning powder into the baggy, she comments
out loud that one of the many dangers of being a coke head is never really
knowing if the stuff is pure.

The reporter was probably just so anxious to get a hold of some that when
Angela gave it to her, she didn't think twice.

But we never really see what exactly it is that she snorts other than the
fact that it's for cleaning purposes. It could've been anything.....

True, I just thought it was weird, she seemed to know what she was doing anyways, and it just seemed strange that someone who seemed so experienced with the stuff would be fooled, but I guess when you need a fix your not thinking about stuff like that.
