Gail O'Grady?

Gail O'Grady is listed in the credits as playing the part of "Laura". I own this movie and have watched it countless times, but have never come across a character named Laura, nor have I noticed anyone who even remotely resembles Gail O'Grady in this whole film. Am I missing something? This is really bugging me!

It's not that rare for movie credits to include a character that doesn't actually appear. If an actor works in the film, especially if he/she has spoken lines, it might be part of the contract that he'll get credit even if the scene is cut out.

I have watched this movie numerous times and I don't recall seeing Gail O'Grady anywhere in it. I would like to think that if Gail O'Grady was in this movie, I would have noticed. I guess I'm getting old.

I just watched it last night as I tried to fall asleep. and I recalled this particular thread again. and I don't know if my eyes were playing tricks on me, but I think that Laura might have been the woman in the flashback scene where Kristy was in the museum as a child meeting her with the baby carriage. what do you think?
