I couldn't sit throught this movie

I made it all the way to the point where Alec Baldwin was telling Elizabeth McGovern(or something like that) that he loved her. And then I was done. Does it get any better? I only had it on for background noise, really, and I still couldn't sit through it.

It gets a little better, but I have to say this isn't a great film. "Background noise" is a good description because much of the film is fluff, and the tone seemed more appropriate for John Hughes' teen films. The soundtrack, however, is excellent.

You missed the melodramatic ending where Elizabeth McGovern has a birthing crisis (the child is in upside-down), but both baby and mom survive the ordeal. And by the way, it's a boy.
