Some of John Hughes movies had great soundtracks with some otherwise little known alternative or new wave bands. This album has some great music. I used to listen to it all the time. Anyone have a favorite song from this album besides the Kate Bush song?

shareI loved this movie when I first saw it at 13 and remember buying the tape with allowance money because I fell in love with the Kate Bush song. I recently bought the CD, and forgot how much, in addition to those tunes already mentioned by previous posters, I like the songs "You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby" on the "She" side, and the version of "Crazy Love."
shareI saw this movie when I was six. The reason I became a Kate Bush Fan was because of this movie and that song. But to answer your question, Apron Strings is also a great song. I love John Hughes films because his soundtracks are so wonderful. Him and Cameron Crowe pick great songs for their movies.

A piece that I've been trying to find for years is the instrumental piece used in the preview. Anyone have any idea what it is? I also recently heard a different arrangement of it in Napolean Dynamite, but it wasn't listed on that soundtrack.

shareOh My Goodness .... Words can not explain how much I appreciate finding this thread. I have been looking for this song for 16 years now since my best friend died in car accident. He was an very talented violinist, though never made it big. He would play this song everyday when practicing and playing for fun, it was his favorite to play. He would play it over and over again for his 5 year old daughter Kalia, and she would dance the entire time. I never learned the name of it, or if I did I had forgotten it. I could only humm it, and knew it was on the trailer for She's Having a Baby. 16 years have gone by of me periodicaly trying to find this song, and now I have it and tears are pouring! Kalia and I still humm it to this day, so if you get nothing from this rant know that you will have made a 21 year old girl who dearly misses her daddy very happy.
