This isn't about Elizabeth McGovern, Kevin Bacon, Alec Baldwin, nor Ferris Bueller. It is about: men shouldn't wear jockey shorts because they keep your junk too warm and make you sterile. That's it. It was a public service message with not much more than celebrity endorsement. The writers and the cast mailed it in.

Indeed, that's a myth. I would hate to think any teens or young men believe it would be true. It's a psychological move to make men more relaxed before having sex.
