story similar to Iron Maiden album 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son'?

i have yet to see this film, but i saw it in the $5.00 bin at the grocery store the other day and was reading the back, when it dawned on me that this sounds eerily similar to the way that album unfolds. essentially a pregnant woman is contacted by satan about the birth of her unborn son who turns out to have clairvoyant powers and forsees horrible events that noone believes, yet in the end, the events take place, everyone dies, and he was right all along.....for those familiar with the film and the album, are they even close, or jst barely similar?

Both the movie and the Iron Maiden album are centered around similar topics, and coincidentally came out in the same year. However, they do not follow the same plot... the plot of the Iron Maiden album is more centered around the folklore regarding a seventh son of a seventh son, whereas the movie follows the predictions of Revelation pretty closely. The Iron Madien album doesn't really deal with Revelations. Still an awesome freakin' album, tho... the movie isn't anything special, but worth watching once.

It can't be all coincidence, Too many things are evident. You tell me you're an unbeliever....Spiritualist? Well me I'm neither.

I think that the fact that you're even asking the question and making the connections from that wonderful Iron Maiden album and this movie is a sign enough that you should watch the movie. Personally I find the movie fascinating.

It's probably one of Michael Biehn's worst performances, and I usually like him in the movies. He was my hero of the time. For example, I was ecstatic to see that he had the exact same same high top Nike shoes with that reflector strap, in Terminator as I had (the shoes he grabs from the store and puts to his feet to check the size). But apparently he plays a better soldier than the working husband.

Definitely worth seeing.
