The ending

This movie would've really been a masterpiece if the ending didnt suck that bad!
At the ending it became a bit supernatural.
Bit of a shame!

Yep. Super crappy ending ruined an otherwise interesting movie. I mean, even if you say that what happens at the end was really all just in his mind--brought on by the hallucenagenic drugs he was on--all that means is that his imagination is really cliched and goofy. Wes Craven seems to have a problem with endings in general. Even Scream has a weak, tossed off ending.

Now that you mention it, that's true!
His endings mostly suck, cant think of one that doesn't!

Actually I liked the Elm Street ending, it's in tune with the rest of the film. And I also like Deadly Blessing, the ending really made that film. Bit in this case however it was way to over-the-top....

Never saw Deadly Blessing!
Will check it out.
Thanks!

Actually, the studio forced the Elm Street ending on Wes Craven so that they could make a franchise out of it. Originally, it was just supposed to be a happy ending, until the producers added in the twist.

After that, Wes didn't do another Freddy movie until New Nightmare. Take what you will from that.

If con is the opposite of pro, wouldn't congress be the opposite of progress?
