both this and the burning are going to be hard to find in stores come sept 11th. i was hoping best buy would carry these but it syas store availability not available which almost always means they are not gonna carry these on dvd
shareGot an FYE in your area? They tend to be pretty good about carrying smaller horror/genre titles. I'd check there first if there's one nearby. Or, just go to DeepDiscount.com, which is where I preordered The Burning (and where I get most of my dvd's at this point). And keep in mind although these two flicks are pretty obscure, the new dvds are fox/mgm releases, so they may not be as hard to find as you think.
shareThat's not lie, man. I spent 2 hours going store to store looking for Scarecrows last night... only to give up and order a copy on-line. I should have just driven the extra hour to a place I knew would carry it but I guess I assumed buyers for stores knew what good movies were.

I went to my local FYE on tuesday and every new mgm/fox horror release was there. I picked up The Burning, From Beyond, Tales From The Crypt/Vault of Horror, and Scarecrows. I was kinda surprised since I live a really little town in upstate New York, but Glad they were there. By the way the Burning and the From Beyond discs are awesome.
shareI Went To An HMV By My House And They Actually Had None Ordered In For Sept 11 So I had To Special Order My Copy Of Scarecrows Which Kinda Pissed Me Off But On The Good Side I Didn't Have To Wait Long And Got My Copy Of The Movie So Im Pretty Happy Just Wish There Was Some Extras!!!

I'm in a small town in upstate NY as well, and I can't find this anywhere. I called the FYE and a few other stores in a larger city and even they don't have them :( Ugh, I had to order them online and now a 3-4 week wait. So pissed off.

scarecrows was easy, but i'm still looking for the burning...
shareI was lucky. I was walked into the Starstruck in Sherway Gardens here in Toronto and both The Burning and Scarecrows were on the 2 for $20 rack. I couldn't believe it.
The quality of the transfers on both discs is A+ btw. Scarecrows never looked so clear and crisp.

yeah, Amazon told me I couldn't get the Burning until November but it came last week.. I was so happy. Scarecrows was the hard one for me to find, I should have ordered it when I ordered the burning but I was stupid to think I could find it in stores =/
Now I guess I'll have to order it and wait until Thanksgiving or something before i actually get to watch it.

If there is a FRYS near anybody I would suggest going there. It's like Best Buy but about 2 times bigger. I bought The Burning there for about $10.
