Scarecrows and Dead Birds

Just finished watch it for first time (an Amazon recommendation...) Very good movie. Low budget but OK.

I found several connections between Scarecrows and Dead Birds... (another Amazon recommendation...) a group of bad guys, an old creepy house and the "poetic justice" reaching them at last in form of bloody deaths thanks to black magic/satanism/voodoo/demons, whatever. The father/daughter kidnapped duo remembers me "From Dusk Till Dawn".

I think the scenes where the scarecrows were sewing human parts to its bodies could be the plot.

Yea, they are connected and the only reason why they're connected is because they're the only two made this way (points you've mentioned) and that's a good thing.
Personally, I like this movie better than Deadbirds but don't get me wrong, I like Dead Birds too, it's good for this day and age and done on a day or day and a half budget makes it a really good movie but then again that movie is a little too fast for me where as this just have all the elements and makes the perfect combination.

Malevolence, while a slasher, also shares a bit in common with these two movies and has a similar feel.

I definitely kept thinking about Dead Birds when I watched this one! The setting and ambiance of both films are definitely similar. The houses of the two movies look nothing alike but they just feel similar.
