I found this film for a buck at a thrift store, and it was money well spent! It took me awhile to get into this film, but I grew to appreciate it. "Mortuary Academy" is avant-garde in its stupidity, and it hits the funnybone dead-on!

It's been more than four years since I've seen this, so I'm afraid I don't remember the specifics on the funny scenes, but I did like Paul Bartel and Mary Woronov in this film.

It's definitely low-brow and culty, which generally doesn't appeal to most critics. I don't want to overpraise this because I gave it only 6/10 stars, but I remember enjoying it for the cast.

I thought "Clueless" was hilarious! Unfortunately, this isn't quite as funny. If you like black comedies such as "Eating Raoul," you'd probably like this.

So many great lines in that, it's hard to tell where to begin! I love how Cher calls grunge "complaint rock." I still use that line when grunge comes up.

Do you remember the TV series "Clueless," which came out after the movie was a hit? It was actually quite good, with some of the same cast members (not Alicia Silverstone, though). I think I watched every episode. I hardly watch TV at all these days.

No, I didn't know that about Rachel Blanchard. She was terrific as Cher, and she had huge pumps to fill. That TV series could have been horrible, as many movie spinoffs are, but it was great!

Another reason I love the movie and TV show so much is the killer soundtrack, mostly electronic- and dance-pop tunes. I have the movie soundtrack, plus a CD single with the theme from the TV show by China Forbes: "She is literally the Polaroid of perfection ..."

Yes I've seen it. It's an okay movie with some funny moments. Mary Woronov was great. I've definitely seen far more worse movies

I enjoyed 'Mortuary Academy' primarily for the performances of the late Paul Bartel, and the always great Mary Woronov. It was a simple little comedy, andwas worth the $0.33 I paid for the VHS the other day.

I found the DVD for just $3 at BigLots in the Spring of 2009. It was worth every penny.

I just saw this film and thought it was very funny. Paul Bartel and Mary Woronov were great in their roles.

It was hit-or-miss and very tasteless, but Paul Bartel and (especially) Mary Woronov made it worth watching.
