They hate Jews and Catholics, so they would have ramped up their hatred on them.

Some of you are SO ignorant ! Support for Israel is big in Mississippi from Christian fundamentalist view of the Jews as the chosen people.
Second the state is full of Catholics, especially the Gulf Coast where they get elected to congress ( Palazzo, Taylor)😞

Well I understand that some fundamentalist Christians support Israel, I do myself. I do not consider the KKK to be Christians, and a lot of Christians would agree. I believe that the KKK do hate Jews and Catholics, but I will openly admit, I may be wrong about their hatred of Catholics.

The point I was trying to make was that the KKK would just hate on someone else if they got what they wanted.

Edit: my response to this thread was specifically referring to the KKK and not the people of Mississippi, of whom, I am sure the majority of people are good decent people.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. As Hackman's character explained, they LOVE having the "nigras" around because "If you ain't better than a *beep* son, who are you better than?" They need them to hate and feel superior to.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.
