black racism OK in your book ?

fans of this film seem to think race relations are a one way street. They seem to think hate directed towards Mississippi is acceptable as well.
It's a dumb movie for naive people.

"Reverse racism" is terrible. It upsets me that white people now live under the constant threat of lynching or gang rape in Mississippi from the black community, who run the police and the courts and the mayor's offices, so that the whites have no legal recourse, and are simply expected to live in terror without a political voice.

Oh, wait... That's not the case, is it, and it never has been, or ever will be.

You should probably cry more about "reverse racism." Boo hoo, the crimes of the past are being rightly pointed out by the former victims! Bawwww!

"The crimes of the past are being rightly pointed out by the former victims!"

Yes....and no. I agree that whites do not have/never have had to deal with racism the way blacks have. That said, there is no such thing as "reverse racism." Racism works in any direction. It's not specific to whites hating blacks.

And more importantly, "Mississippi Burning" with its "Death Wish" version of the Civil Rights Movement is not a good example of "the crimes of the past being rightly pointed out by the former victims," It's a piece of trash movie. Watch "Do the Right Thing." THERE'S a serious, honest movie about racism in America.

ever hear of black gangs murdering white people bc they r merely white...or the fact that it is now correct to idolize black culture and anything otherwise is racist? wake up reverse racism is bigger than traditional racism now. btw im not white

reply

I agree with everything you said except "reverse racism." It's not a thing. Racism is racism. You can be white and be racist against another group. You can be black and be racist against white people. Both are racist. Neither is worse or better than the other. Racism is racism.

I agree

It is only "rocket science" when the Political Correct freaks get their hands on it. After that, anything they deem to be "racist" will be racist.

Just STFU----I'm tired of you racist trolls talking this BS on sites, but you never have any actual evidence or statistics to back up the stupid, racist s*** you made up. Once again, just STFU!

All sorts of racism is OK, as long as it`s non-violnt/-governmental.

The black community isn't nearly as racist as the white community was. I agree, racism from everybody is bad. But the reason many blacks are hostile towards whites is because they are convinced that ALL white people are out to get them so they're bitter. These "good ole boy" country bumpkins on a whole scale are a hell of a lot more racist, believe me.

To the world you may just be somebody, but to somebody you may just be the world.

Reverse racism does not exist. Plain and simple. What you have are simply groups of people that are angry and perhaps distrustful of group(s) that have for centuries maintained an illusion of superiority and false elitist views.

Show me a white person that has been beat down by the system and oppressed in America and I'll buy that they experience racism. Not when they own most of the wealth and power in this country.

I must respectfully put in my piece. I feel that racism exists in many forms. Someone said a few posts earlier that blacks are not as racist today as whites were. On the whole, this may be true, but it can definitely be found. The reason that the whites were worse is because of the system. At the time the whites were outright oppressive, as shown in this film, most blacks did not dare retaliate because the racist system would hang them for it, both metaphorically and sometimes literally. Today, that system is looser, but still there. Yet I would never assume that the racism doesn't exist on both sides still.

Reverse racism does not exist, but only because there is no such thing as "reverse" racism. Racism is racism, and the phenomenon called "reverse racism" definitely exists in huge ways. These days, whites can't say a thing publically without being criticized. Celebrities are sent to rehab for saying anything negative. But other races (any of them, really) can make fun of whites until they fall over from exhaustion and be fine. On the other hand, PLENTY of non-whites have no problem with any other race and just want to live their lives. Examples of everything can be found on both sides.

It exists, but that doesn't mean everyone partakes.

Cheers mate!

If that's the message people are taking home after seeing this movie, they're bigots. This movie doesn't say anything about Mississippi, only depicts a bunch of backwards people that happen to live there in a fictional story. No kind of racism is okay.

The *beep* do you mean by "racism"? There's one race, the human race, inside the human race are breeds and stock. Wish the libtards would stop using the term "racism" to describe discrimination based on pigmentation.

reply

No such thing as "black racism" in America.
