"48 hours" and its sequel, i can't believe no one has mentioned that, that was the only one that came to my mind, but overall i thought it was a pretty typical vibed 80's action flick. my experience is every actor in this movie has disappeared except the main star, grodin was in plenty of popular movies during the 1980's and 90's, then there is the guy from the first two beverly hills cop movies and suppose to have been in the third as well, and i understand this and "beverly hills cop" has the same moviemaker, you recognise the style quite well, going on, the villain actor in "live and let die", my experience is all of these actors were in huge mainstream flicks for a while and disappeared, also, funny was that the guy from al bundy's "no ma'am" club in "married with children" in a cameo. this is such a popular movie getting quite a few obscure sequels with a different cast, so incredible all three sequels were shot in the same year, never heard anything like it, and it's remarkable reading around this board how people don't even know they exist, i remember them airing on the movie channel showtime that i used to get. as i tuned into this recently while already airing i saw grodin as just stringing along without any speaking part and as soon as he started speaking he was continuingly told to be quiet. i can't believe how many 80's movies this car has been featured in. as good as this movie is, i must say the cliff bit looked poorly mixed all the way from the actor to the stuntman followed by some bad special effects.
