Rose - Joan Cusack's character

I wonder if she had more scenes that were deleted. While the character bad mouths Angela (Michelle Pfeiffer) at the beginning, in the hairdressers, she seemed like the only one that Angela liked. Angela acknowledges her and not the others later in the supermarket, and when Connie confronts Angela, Rose looks at Angela sympathetically as though she feels bad for her. The other Mafia wives never seem to bother and I'm unsure if Connie generally likes Angela , or tolerates her because she's Franks wife.

I have always thought that Rose was not like the other Mob wives. When she talks about Angela it is never in a bad way except when Angela didnt go to her dinner. And when tony and his associates visit Angela, she tells them to say hi to Rose for her. It seemed the like there should have been more storyline containing the other wives, but they just dropped them half way through the movie. I didn't know what to make of Connie, she defiantly hated her after tony incident, but right before she seemed to feel bad for her.

Angela had become distant from the wives at the start of the film. She stopped going to the card games and parties but it was mentioned by her husband she use to like them. When she runs into Connie at the salon, she's turning down another card game invitation and when she leaves Connie calls her a b**ch and says she 'thinks her sh** don't stink'. So at that point, the wives were taking her slights as Angela thinks she's better than them now. So we're never shown a point when they were friends and it goes downhill faster when Tony goes after Angela aggressively.
