Went looking for it last night & was told they changed the date to next week. Who knows if they arrived late to stores or they're changing the release date. If anyone else knows of something, post it.

I was looking for the flick today. BestBuy computers say that it was released Nov 14. I searched and found nothing. Even looked in the horror section; to be sure they didn't stock it, in the wrong place.

Circuit City doesn't have it. I asked the clerk, to search his computer. That was, a no go. According to the clerk, every Circuit City computer in the US, is having problems. Something to do with updating the computers before, Black Friday (or possibly just human error). I couldn't get any real info.

You are probably right; for some reason, probably delayed for a week.

I haven't read If Chins could Kill, in a while. I have never seen, Mindwarp; as far as I recall. I think he did mention Mindwarp in that book, but I wouldn't make a bet,one way or another.

I already had a Best Buy clerk; look it up on his computer, and he said the same thing. I'm guessing something happened and the date which was supposed to be the 14th, is going to be unoffically pushed to the 21st.

Every source that I can find, says the 14th; yet here I type, without a copy of Maniac Cop.

If anybody finds out any information on the delay of the DVD; please post it.

I looked on that site and couldn't find it. Well except for the old crud version of Maniac Cop. I noticed that it appears to be a British website. I think your date will correspond, to the UK release. Then again, maybe I'm wrong.

I looked over at http://www.joblo.com/releases.php?mode=dvd it's a pretty good website. It's very accurate but it doesn't show all the DVD releases; more mainstream stuff. It says the release date is November 14th.

I'm still hoping that it is just a week late.

BestBuy gets it new shipments in, on Tuesday. If anyone actually gets their hands on a copy; post where they got it.

It is confirmed, the Bruce Campbell DVD is out.

I guess there must have been shipping delays. BestBuy said that it came out on the 14th, but I can't find a single copy anywhere.

For some of us, it is like trying to purchase a PS3-(nearly impossible).

I've had string of badluck, ordering DVDs online. I prefer to buy dvds, in person. If the dvd is defective, I simply take it back and grab a non-defective one.

I try to avoid ordering DVDs online; unless it is a 'hard to find' one.

I'm going to get Maniac Cop today or tomorrow. New releases are on Tuesdays, so on Wednesday it should be on the shelves.

I feel like I'm trying, to find the lost footage, from the Wicker Man (1973)

There appears to have been a problem with Maniac Cop being shipped out on the 14th. Apparently it going to delayed for a week.

I just had Borders check, for the movie. He is not sure why they don't have it. Something about a "transit" problem. He couldn't elaborate any further, on what a transit problem was.

Circuit City said they didn't have Maniac Cop.

I knew the picture quality would be better than my cheapo copy. But still BestBuy, Circuitcity and Borders are telling me, that there are no copies to buy. I'm just going to calling Circuit City or Borders, once a week and see if they even get that DVD into their computer system.

You should make hyperlinks. Pretend that you are going to send me a PM. You will see below the subject heading markup enabled. click on that, it tells you to make hyperlinks, it is so easy. The hard part is typing the url correctly.

I managed to find a copy. I went to bestbuy and walmart and they didn't have it. I went to a store called HMV, which are retail electronic stores in Canada and the UK, and they had one copy there. Many stores are not ordering the movie because they seriously don't think anyone will buy it.

I am willing to order the movie; but all the stores I goto, cant confirm it is truly in the system. If I can't find it, in the next 14 days; I'm going to have Borders try and get me a copy. At least I will be able to strangle a clerk, if my order gets screwed up.

I have multiple people telling me that; they got their hands on a copy. I need to get my hands, on it too.

I've been digging. I've looked through new releases. I've checked to make sure that it wasn't shelved with "old horror" movies. I've called multiple stores and asked them to "look it up", on their computers. I got zilch.

I think for some (me especially); it is gonna require a lot of extra digging.

I got it.

I feel like Charlie with his golden ticket (Willie wonka and the Chocloate Factory).

Found it yesterday in the horror section of Best Buy. I was 5 minutes from ordering it from Borders.

To all that haven't found it, keep looking. It does exist, it is not a figment of our imaginations.

I snagged a copy of the excellent new DVD at a local Best Buy for twenty bucks. The extras are very good, starting with a real lively, enjoyable and informative commentary by director William Lustig, screenwriter Larry Cohen, star Bruce Campbell, and composer Jay Chattaway. The 12 minute interview featurette with Robert D'Dar is likewise quite nice. The various theatrical trailers (including one in French!) and TV spots are cool, too. Plus the sound and visual quality is terrific. However, this DVD is strangely hard to find (I had to go to three different stores before I finally found it at Best Buy), so you better grab yourselves a copy while they are still available.

The DVD is out there; if you haven't got your copy, run and buy it. If you can't buy it in a store, order it online. Make sure, that you buy the Special Edition, with the audio commentary.
