Hi folks,
Can someone please tell me if the Maniac Cop form the title is a zombie?
I watched this film years ago and can't remember anything about it apart from the cop being dead. Howerver a friend who watched it recently said that said cop isn't a zombie and its really *beep* with me chi.
Anyway, any help would be great

In the first Maniac Cop movie, it's never confirmed whether Cordell (the title character) is actually still alive (but disfigured and vengeful) or a zombie. However, in the second and third films, he's definitely one of the walking dead.

After Teresa squares off with him in the alley (Pt 1), she claims he wasn't breathing and he was already as cold as ice. Not to mention, he was able to take an inhuman amount of punishment.
My theory is that he died after Sally brought him home, but his sense of honor and vengeance on clearing his name was so strong that it reanimated him. That's why he has so much more damage in the sequels: his body has continued to rot.
