Why is this movie never on cable?

It played in theaters all over the world. The sequels (especially Pt. 2) are on TV at least once a month somewhere. What the hell's going on with this movie? Why is it so hard to see?

That's a good question. I also see the sequels on cable quite a bit but not the first. It probably has to do with rights or something.
