Maniac Cop blu-ray: US vs UK

Has anyone seen both transfers, and is one better than the other? Im assuming they are similar but would like to hear some opinions before making a decision.

Also, it looks like the UK version has better extras and cooler cover art.

Any thoughts?

I haven't seen the UK disc yet, but the US Synapse disc has a really nice, film-like transfer with a choice of 6.1, 4.0 surround and 2.0 stereo audio tracks.

I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison of the UK and US discs.

I just bought the UK Arrow Bluray, which is a great transfer in 1.85 anamorphic, BUT when I compared it to my Australian fullscreen DVD, i found it's 10 minutes shorter with all the scenes of the mayor and his aide missing. I've since learned these scenes are extra stuff which was shot, but it's a bit annoying the usually impeccable Arrow didn't include them. Also, no commentary, do I need to triple-dip and buy the US Synapse release???

I recently purchased the UK Blu-Ray edition on the Arrow label. I have to say that the transfer falls short of perfection, there are a number of scenes where grain and noise are evident, to be expected I guess and they are not a major distraction.

The extras are incredibly underwhelming, take for example the interview with Laurene Landon, she recalls very little about her experience of the movie, no mention of Robert Z'Dar is made and even Lustigs interview leaves a lot of stones unturned. The packaging is superb though, and there's cool poster which is double sided as is the cover art, the illustrations are phenomenal and in keeping with the gritty indie feel of the film. Overall I'd give the Arrow Blu Ray edition 8/10, would have been a 10 had it not been for the lack lustre extras, and lastly there's no commentary track.
