great film - loads of action. Didn't appear to do too well looking at the box office on imdb. Whats missing out of the original dvd release? I bought mine back in early 2000?

Yep, a boxset would be great, but from what I understand it's an ownership rights issue, with different companies holding the rights for each film, making a box-set (At this time) unlikely

Just watched it to not a bad film.
My only problem, being as someone who has just done a degree in Film & TV Production, was how the police officer decided it was a police officer committing
the crimes straight away. I kind of expected the two black guys to be not taken serious and then they realise they where telling the truth as more killings happened. He just jumped straight to the killer being a cop too soon and it wasn't that logical.
But it was a very fun film and I'll watch the second someday
Yeah, I think you have to "Over-look" some things like this in movies... I reckon you'll like the 2nd one, it's a very good movie... You may also like the 3rd, but it doesn't compare to the first two... Have you seen the extended (Japanese) cut of the movie? Worth hunting down, a few added scenes and a different ending that sets things up well for the second installment... I picked up a DVD of it for just £3, so about $5, well worth it!!
