Why police woman after years of service screams like a little biyatch?

This is so annoying! Some directors, even today, think that every woman that sees dead body or blood will scream in total panic like a little biyatch.
And Theresa was a cop! But instead of being a cop, she looked like some dumb highschool broad in a bad slasher.
And even in general her character was very stupid - what was she doing dressed like a hooker on the streets? "I am on duty" she says. What duty? Telling man in cars that approach her she is a cop and they should go home? What? Ain't she suppose to arrest them? "Can you be more specific?". What an idiot!
Where is her backup anyway? Is she alone on the street working as a hooker? Seriously?
Her and other female characters are insulting and degrading for common sense. And I am a guy!
Besides that the movie is ok, I guess. The story doesn't make a lot of sense, but it is still ok.

well, she was obviously doing prostitution stings, so that answers your "what duty" question, but I agree with the rest of your post. I don't see why she kept her hooker outfit on, and the screaming was a bit much.

To be honest I doubt that even a 13yo girl is going to scream as much in real life upon seeing a dead body as all thses characters in movies do.

Does anyone know what is a prostitution sting? I don't really, but I can assume that from what I've seen in the cop shows and other movies, but also from simple logic.

A female cop is posing as a prostitute to allure the potential customers.
And she suppose to wear a hidden mic, there is suppose to be at least one car with two male cops as a back up watching her all the time.

So what was she doing alone? That is just bad writing.

Well, to answer your part about letting the John go, a cop has to acknowledge that they are a cop so as not to be charged with entrapment. See also 8MM where everybody asks Nick Cage if he's a cop before letting him into the pirated porn den.

Sorry man, but a Policeman does not have to identify themselves as as a cop if asked. It is 1000000% inaccurate to think otherwise.

Correct. This is just another Hollywood invention (or misunderstanding) that is shown everywhere and resolutely false.

Like the guy above me said IT IS A COMPLETE MYTH that a cop has to tell you hes a cop if you ask him.

And entrapment only works if the law enforcement agent intiated the conversation or engaged the suspect FIRST to commit a crime.
