Reminds Me of Avatar

In a weird way, this is like Avatar if Avatar were good. Blue-skinned, alien inhabitants of a "back-to-nature" hippy-ish space civilization are being assaulted by technologically-superior aggressors. It goes to much more interesting places, of course. It serves to highlight how lazy Avatar's writing is, given the immense creativity of this story.

The animation is really cool, the world is fantastic, and the plot is all-stops-pulled. Well worth viewing, especially at the breezy 84 minute runtime.

it does. i also see some terminator in it, so maybe cameron was just returning the favor. this is a good one to watch with heavy metal 1981.

Yeah, it fits that category of weird, otherworldly animation along with stuff like Heavy Metal. I just finished watching the Aeon Flux cartoon series and that's the same niche genre, too. I love that kind of stuff, but it's hard to describe. It's really cool, and it always seems to feel fresh no matter how old it is.
