Littlefoot's Mother?

I haven't seen the movies in years, but I have a question. What ever happened to Littlefoot's parents/mother (can't remember if there was a dad)? Is it specified, or just assumed she died?

reply

I believe his father left shortly before he hatched(I think he showed up in one of the sequels) and his mother died from her injuries after battling Sharptooth.

reply

She dies on-screen.

His mother died and he was seperated from his grandparents due to the fissure in the earth

Littlefoot's mother's death was one of the saddest deaths in an animated film, what made it sad was the music that accompanied that scene.

Yea her mother dies on screen... That made me drop tears

oh... him :) for some reason i always mistook him as a female :P probably because of his sound

reply

Yes his mother died. I don’t recall his father being mentioned in the original movie.I think it was said all that remained of his herd were his maternal grandparents and mother. However his father (Bron, who was called Littlefoot when he was young) does show up in the LandBefore Time 10: The Longneck Migration (2003) and he also appears in an episode of the TV series.

Like the others mention, Littlefoot's father left to find them a nest or whatever before he could even hatched. But Littlefoot's mother does die after her brutal injuries from the Sharptooth, but there was also an earthquake too that seperated them. I think that would of also included part of her death.

I am who I am, you can't change that!

Oy his father appears? That sounds terrible! "Oh ya... Sorry I didn't show up for most of your childhood. I was...busy."

reply

Dude, Littlefoot's mother's death is the saddest scene in any animated movie ever! It even beats Bambi. I just saw the clip of it and was in tears.

reply

I agree that it's sad. I'm in my mid-twenties and I admit that scene was saddening.
