When they made it to the great valley they said they all grew up together and told stories for many generations about their journey. None of the cast ever grew up in any of the movies, so does this mean all the movies were in between of the original adventure to great valley, like what we never saw? But if so then why was littlefoot never with his grandparents who appear with him in other films?

Were the rest of the movies supposed to be the original casts babies? I'm confused? I wish they made a movie of them grown up!

The other movies were those tales of their adventures that the ending mentioned. It's almost like those Disney movie sequels (like Cinderella and Tarzan); they're like memories, you know? It's just showing the dinosaurs growing up and spending time together and how they had more adventures before they actually grew up and were old and had familes of their own. And yeah, I wish they would make a movie of them grown up, or at least a bit older, like teenagers. Did that answer your question?

When they made the first movie, I don't think they planned on making even one more sequel, let alone twelve or thirteen and some series.
