This needs a better DVD/Blu-Ray release.

This movie was very successful so I don't see why there's no new DVD/Blu-Ray out yet, especially considering how mediocre the first DVD was. Why must the studios be so mean to Don Bluth, sure he made a few duds in the 90's but he was great for the most part and it seems like most of his work is almost forgotten...sad.

Saddest thing is that Don Bluth himself stated that he would've given commentaries, uncut footage and in general helped out with the 2003 Anniversary Edition, but the idiots making the sequels didn't even ask about it. Just added some stupid *beep* idiotic childrens game on the DVD and that's it.

That's sad... :(

Yep, this sure does need a new DVD and blu ray release. I just found the link to the petition to Universal to release LBT to blu ray and DVD, in time for this year's 25th anniversary:

Seriously, it's about time this classic got release to DVD and blu ray, since it's been almost 10 years since the last DVD release. I hope Universal (and Don Bluth) will listen to us. Pulllllllll-eaaaaaase! So let's hop on the bandwagon and sign this petition, I'm telling you!
