Man I miss 2d animation
Esspecially Bluth's stuff, it's gorgeous.
I'm glad Disney made a couple films with hand drawn a few years ago, but it's a shame it'll just be a novelty going forward.
Don Bluth was pushing for a Dragon's Lair movie for quite a while and even had a kickstarter campaign to help fund it. However, it seems the project may have died again. Don BLuth is pretty old and I don't think we'll see him direct a movie again. As for Disney, I'm sure they will make a 2D film again, albeit likely with the Paperman technology once perfected. If 2D animation really interests you and you want to support it, check out the independent and foreign scenes. Both still put out a variety of animation every year.
