Good story idea, bad execution!
This is a film I saw in grade 10 in theatres back in 1988. They had a great advertising campaign, good trailer, marketing tie-ins but a real empty movie.
A film about the pressures of a young quarterback being recruited by the various colleges and universities is a great idea but unfortunately they go nowhere with it.
The movie feels as if they were making up the script day-to-day. Anthony Michael Hall comes across very smug and barely seems to care about the material or the character. Maybe the whole project was so disorganized this was simply the reaction he had to it.
