Very good, but very sad

Heard that this was so highly regarded, and I usually avoid films with war, however made an exception with this one.

It's a really sad film, however it was beautiful to see the bond between the brother and the little sister. They cried, they struggled, they laughed. War is utter hell, and this a great illustration of how people struggle in war time.

Setsuko could be described as annoying, however the producers beautifully showed how a little girl would react in the struggles of war. Seita did wonderfully well with how he managed to get things done. It also really shows how people can be very resourceful and it shows the human spirit.

It's a really sad film, however it is also worthy piece of cinema.
