Where was this filmed?

I know some if not most was probably done on a lot somewhere, but the scenes with the lake and when they're driving off the cliff, but mainly I want to know if the house is real. I have always loved the house.

It was filmed in the small town of Townshend, Vermont

The movie was shot in several villages in central Vermont. The movie Me, Myself and Irene starring Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger was also shot in the same Vermont locales as Funny Farm. The house used in Funny Farm is an actual home in Grafton, Vermont. It's not far from the estate of the late Charles Bronson.

I would LOVE to visit the house that was in the movie. It's such a pretty home in a breathtaking location.

How do you know where it's located? Have you seen it?

reply

Yeah, does anyone have details on the house? I would love to see it? Has anyone ever gone to it?

the town scenes are filmed in windsor, VT. My friend's mother is walking past in one of the scenes when chevy chase is in town. from the previous thread, Charles Bronson's former estate is located in Hartland, VT.

The lake scene is filmed at Kennedy Pond in Windsor Vt, and some of the town scenes were shot at the Hartland Rec Center in Hartland Vt, a mile from my house. The farm itself is a real home in Grafton Vt.

Wow, that's really cool to know! I gotta go to VT!
