Tissues on his desk?

I've watched this film countless times and just made the connection on a potential joke. When Andy's wife tells him that she sold a book and then asks to use the typewriter, he says sure, I'll just clean up. So he goes up there and picks up several tissues off his desk and puts them in a mug. To borrow a quote from Forgetting Sara Marshall (I think).... "are those sad tissues or happy tissues?" I'm wondering if that was supposed to imply he's been "playing" around up there instead of working. Ha! Has anyone else noticed that and drawn any conclusions?

Those weren't tissues. They were crumpled up pieces of typing paper. You can hear them crunch. He has a stack of typing paper on the desk, a sheet of paper in the typewriter, and a few crumpled sheets on the desk.
