This is definitely the most 'fun' Friday the 13th movie! Jason finally has a powerful adversary that can stand up to him (before Freddy) and I loved the effects they used for Tina's powers. Melissa is such a wonderful b!tch in this too. Plus Jason looks his absolute best here. Part VII along with III and IV are my favorites!

I saw it in the theatres when it first premiered.
I remember when I first heard about it being extremely excited to see it.
The idea of Jason going up against someone with powers would make an awesome horror movie. I liked this more than Jason vs Freddy.
They really should do a reboot of this one.
So glad it's back on Netflix now.

What kind of beast couldn't get along with a precious little girl like this?
It's my personal favorite. I'm not a huge slasher fan and didn't really find any of them scary so to me the series only started getting entertaining around part 6 when I did my latest marathon of these films.
The idea of a telekinetic heroine in a slasher film sounds really stupid on paper and doesn't even really fit, it's not one of those ideas which makes you think 'Of course! Why didn't they think of that before?'. And it's not like there was indication these powers existed in this universe. Yet somehow it never felt out of place to me, it really worked in the movie.
It added a back-story to the protagonist and why she was at Crystal Lake, a way to resurrect (and battle) Jason so it was pretty integral to the plot. Reminded me of Alice in NOES where Freddy finally meets someone who can take him on physically.
Plus I don't think Jason has ever looked better, loved the visibly spine it really grossed me out.
I really liked the first four and if they ended with them I would have been fine because after that the films mostly suck, except for this one. Sort of a different direction and it was really good except for the stupid dad scene at the end.

shareNo way! It's not wrong! This movie has the best looking Jason ever and one of the best kills in the entire series!! This is the first Friday film I ever saw so it will always have a special place in my heart.
The only complaint would be that this movie is heavily cut but that is not the film-maker's fault. If it had a little bit more gore than it would have been one of the best Friday films in my opinion.

Yes, it is *beep* wrong. This movie is even worse than earlier. Awful screenplay, stupid cinematography and overall idiotic. Even part 6 didn't suck this much, I hope it doesn't get worse than this or I will skip all parts coming next. I can't believe people like this garbage over 5th.
Btw Jason dosen't look good in this one, quite lazy made. 3th part is 3th worst of series, behind this and 6th.
