'Kiss Me Deadly' connection

Anyone else see strong influence of "Kiss Me Deadly" on "Frantic"? In both, people are struggling and dying over a mysteriously valuable suitcase. And in both, it turns out to contain a nuclear device.

I never thought about that, but yes, you're right. Except that Ford's character is nothing like Mike Hammer.

Yes i also see a bit of a connection between them, but the Gabrielle/Carver character had more of a femme fatale personna in Kiss Me Deadly while Michelle or whatever that French girl's name in Frantic was not as devious. I mean she did have a moment where it looked like she was gonna backstab Ford in the parking lot exchange scene but in the end, she still helped him find his wife.
