Is Michelle implied to be a prostitute in this film?

She's certainly on the hustle all the time, but I'm researching prostitutes in films at the moment & had this film suggested to me. Inaccurate suggestion, or am I being blind? lol :)

If even one review/article/whatever, states that she is, I can back it up with evidence & still write about it & then I've not wasted my time! (I'm always happy to spend time on Harrison Ford, but I would have saved this film for acfter my research otherwise). When she hesitates to state who Walker is when he's in her bed, it's like she's suggesting he's a john, but maybe because I'm looking for it! Thanks!! :)

There are implications that she is one, but they're made wrongly by the characters - the money exchange in front of the cops, the friends at the airport. She wasn't one in my opinion.

Nah. She was a smuggler why would she need to prostitute... I think Polanski implied that or made that a underlining false theme in the movie so it can cross your mind ....to show the way innocence can be taken advantage of and used. I think Polanski was trying to show how neive and innocent Michelle was and here she is caught up in this uncareing world .......it was implied on purpose to make you stop and think.
