I never noticed how blatantly conservative Ernest was until I recently watched this movie on my 50" TV. In the beginning of the film when he is carting Santos around in his cab, he opens his glove-box, revealing a "Keep the Christ in Christmas" sticker. Then, he passes off a pair of "God Bless America" 3D glasses.

Jesus Christmas, if Ernest lived to see 2012, I'd hate to think he'd be sporting a "Palin for President" sticker while wearing a "God Hates Queers" t-shirt.

Well, he also had a bad case of Asperger's. So I'd say it's a wash.

So because the character he played in a CHRISTMAS movie had a Jesus related sticker on a cab window........Jim Varney would have been a homophone in today's times? WOW, put the koolaid down and turn off CNN

You're making quite a leap in making an assumption that because someone is religious or wants the name/concept of Christ to be actually involved in Christmas, that they are always conservative or always a bigoted fool. I think that you're the closed-minded one, thread-starter.

Something very delicious about people touting any sort of ideological superiority on a Ernest message board. If you guys are Liberals, then Liberals are even bigger jokes than I thought. Even worse than Conservatives.

But hey, thanks for replying and reminding me of this five-and-a-half year old thread. I had forgotten all about it. Old me cracks me up. 
