20th Anniversary Edition

It would be nice if they released a Special Edition DVD.

I think she is and it's gonna have Elvira commentary.
Bet I won't be able to get it in the UK, though...
Shame, I wish she was famous here.

At a recent showing (Comic-con 2008 last July), Cassandra Peterson did a Q&A at which she herself announced work on a special edition dvd which would incorporate tons of behind the scenes footage and other extras. Can't wait!

"Well now, that's too bad! You must come from a dreadful family...."

I just attended the 20th Anniversay screening of the movie here in Los Angeles at the Vista Theatre on Sunset Blvd. Elvira attended. Before the movie started she had a Q&A session with the audience. She said there is no 20th Anniversay Edition of the moive. She wished that the company, Anchor Bay, would allow this becuase she could add all the bonus features such as commentary, deleted scenes, an alternate ending (there really is one), and tons of behind the sceens footage that she still has. Her suggestion to Anchor Bay was to sell it as a double pack with her "Haunted Hills" movie. She encouraged everyone to try to contact Anchor Bay and urge them to make this happen.

Wow, I'd love a Special Edition of this film, especially if it came with a soundtrack CD of all 11 songs in the credits.

Wow, argentinexport, that's a great idea - a double pack with "Haunted Hills".

I love "Mistress" - it's one of my guilty-secret favourites. When I bought the DVD I now have - I'm guessing it's the same featureless release other countries got - it was as a double pack with an old Jeff Goldblum movie called "Transylvania 6-5000", which has a certain cornball appeal, but doesn't have the same delightful level of ham as Elvira. And I bought "Haunted Hills" as a stand-alone, but it's bare-bones as well. I'd probably buy them both all over again if it meant we'd get some fun extras.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
