That one place had been robbed by a shot gun weilding lunatic 5 times! I'm surprised that anyone still eats in there. Crime in the 80s in the US must have been something for that kind of thing to be normal without the police getting involved, he didn't even wear a mask.

Well, A)it was just a comedy, and B)yes, NYC was brutal in the 70's and 80's before Guiliani cleaned it up.
