Hey, I just bought the Coming to America 2007 Widescreen Collector's Edition
DVD, UPC code 0-97361-22294-3, and in the scene where Akeem is standing on the balcony and he says "good morning my neighbors", the audio of the guy returning "hey *beep* you!" is not there.... it just doesnt play... the scene goes "good morning my neighbors! ... yes! yess!! *beep* you too!"

I'm wondering if my DVD is defective, or if for some reason this line was removed for this DVD version...

Any help would be great, thanks!

I don't know about that, but I just got the Special Collector's Edition, and the line "He helped Joshua fight the battle of Jericho, he helped Daniel get out the lion's den, he helped Gilligan get off the island" from Arsenio Hall, playing the reverend at the Black Awareness Awards is completely cut out of the movie! It's one of my favorite lines in the movie too.

Wow, what? See this is why I'm usually skeptical of buying older movies that may have been edited. I usually just watch if it comes on tv or whatever. How can a dvd version not be as inclusive as the VHS?

Nah, willy, that's the wrong scene, bro. Reverend Brown said that line at the engagement party scene at Cleo's house when the Reverend told Lisa he was gonna pray for her.
