Some things about the end puzzled me.

So, after Lisa gives Akeem the brush off, and they're going back to their own country, his mother tells his father that he, being the king, has the power to change their marriage tradition. That settles that problem, but it still doesn't explain what made Lisa change her mind. There's no real explanation of what made her decide to sacrifice everything and marry Akeem after all. And, that detail aside, how did she even get there? The only clue is that while the king and queen are discussing the matter in the car, there's a woman listening in on them in the front seat, but I'm not sure it was her. The shot went too fast. I don't think so, though. The finale seemed to have a few loose ends to me.

And one smaller detail. Who's that woman on Semmi's arm during the wedding? My first guess would be Lisa's sister, and yet somehow it didn't really look like her to me. Plus, that brief (and arbitrary) scene with her taking in Darryl when he came in out of the rain, seemed to half suggest that they were going to start a relationship. It left me just plain confused. Would anyone care to enlighten me?

You thinking not so much a relationship more another Patrice tug-off instead? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i don't think Lisa considers marrying akeem to be a sacrifice. she was hurt because he hadn't told her the truth about himself, and offended by his parents attitude towards her, and she didn't think it was possible for Akeem to marry her and remain a prince, and she didn't want him to sacrifice his position for her. once she realised his parents had changed their minds and were willing for her to marry Akeem i think she was quite happy.

Well, I was not confused at all. Just people get easily confused like some on here posting. Most movies are done this way and if you are going to hate it just because of not being exactly the way you want, then you just hate a lot of movies. Haters always going to hate. I don't let little things like this bother me.

Rated R Horror movies are better, no matter the argument.
