IS THIS GOING TO COME OUT ON DVD OR NO?ANYBODY KNOW?

I just ordered 2 of them (brand new factory sealed)from someone on Amazon.com, only paid 10 bucks each with shipping!! I don't know what region you need, but also check on ebay.com. It is currently at "out of print" status when I checked major retailers like Suncoast/Sam Goody, Best Buy and Circuit City, so good luck!! peace. M

This is the strangest thing, but it is actually now somehow available for a damn good price. MGM was supposed to release it in Summmer of 2003, but that never happened. Copies were printed and about to be released, but the release was stunted by a serious campaign against MGM and Victor Salva by the boy Nathan Winters and a SxHxIxTload of people who support him. Now, either in 2004 or early this year, the DVD has gone down in price SIGNIFICANTLY. But there are sites that say this DVD was never released in the U.S.
I want to order, but I can't help the people warning me of Bootlegs. Even from people who say it's 100% U.S.A. Region 1 MGM release. How the heck would they have gotten their hands on one of these DVDs if they were never released? Don't tell me a ton of people aren't asking for it.

The movie was released but then got recalled and other copies were future copies were sent out. Most of the ones on ebay are genuine if the say it. I have bought 2 copies myself and both have been genuine factory seasled Region 1's that obviously escaped going back to MGM. As to whether it will ever get re-released.... I doubt it, as i got mine back in oct 2003 and nothing has been mentioned solid about a release date since. But like i said Most of the ones on eay are the real McCoy and at a much more reasonable price now.... (i paid $110 USD for my first copy that was still factory sealed.)

I paid about $20 for a genuine sealed Clownhouse DVD on ebay. I'm assuming some people have boxes of these movies sitting in back rooms of stores, and are now selling them for 20 bucks each and making a good profit. Check ebay and i'm sure you'll find one, however there are still people out there trying to sell these for $100 or more.

shareLooks like it's not too hard to find a copy of, but it IS officially out of print now. MGM actually has a listing for it on their site along with the trailer (http://www.mgm.com/title_title.do?title_star=CLOWNHOU).
I didn't know the whole backstory on the film until today (now it's creepy on a whole other level), but if the molestation thing is what screwed up the DVD release, it may never get another release again. Get your copies while you can.
I got my copy off Amazon.com I had to wait a few weeks though. It's pretty good clown movie, there are no extra though. Just a trailer of the movie.
