Who enjoyed the movie and who did not enjoy the movie?

I was searching for a horror film to watch because horror films are my favorite and the last two horror films that I saw was "Excorist II: The Heritic" and "Bride of Chucky" a.k.a. "Child's Play 4" last friday when I rented at Blockbuster Video in Hillsboro, OR, USA. While I was at Blockbuster Video, I saw a movie in the horror section called "Killer Klowns from Outer Space." I didn't get the movie because I didn't want to waste my money on a movie that I thought would be borning. When I got home and saw "Excorist II: The Heritic" and thought it was not worth seing, I decided to check out imdb.com and see what other horror movies there are that was worth seing. I couldn't think of the name of the film "Killer Klowns from Outer Space," so I put in several searches of keywords and got to a movie called "It." I clicked on the more part of the gern and got to the keyword Killer-Clowns. It came up with eight titles which included "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" and many more. I looked on the list and another movie came up called "Clownhouse," which I had never heard of before. I clicked on the title and read the information of what the movie is about and decided to pay for the rental. When I went to blockbuster.com and hollywood.com and put in my information and when to the sites of Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video on the web that were in my area, none of the Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video stores had the title "Clownhouse." So being that I really wanted to see the film, the next thing that I did was went to the public Library, Hillsboro Public Library: Tanasbourne Branch, not thinking that they would have the movie because they don't have very many horror films, if any, and sure enough they did and it was not checked out yet. So I went to the library and checked it out and enjoyed the film. I would recommend it to anyone.

I personally thought this film was a dud. I think this film was an overrated cult favorite by cult horror fans. It isn't even that scary. As a matter of fact, hardly at all. The so called "scary" scenes only startled me a little bit. After watching it, I treated it like any old direct to video horror film. I had the darnest time finding it too. I am not sure if it had any thing to do with that negative stigma surrounding the film. You know, the lead child actor got molested by the director. Any ways, I had to drive half an hour away from where I live just to rent this horror film. I was willing to drive this far because it was so well recommended by this well respected horror critic and a few people in horror forums.

When I started to watch it, it started out pretty good with Casey having a bad dream combined with the groovy Carnival music they played. Then we get to the interaction of the boys. The insults were pretty good by Randy dissing them out to Casy about his fear of clowns. But even that got old after awhile. Salva apparently was not the talented screenwriter he is today demonstrated in this film. Randy is like one dimensional. All he shows is his cruel side by making fun of Casey's fear of clown. Casey is a big wuss and not in a good, convincing way. The only person who is remotely(emphesis on remotely) likeable is the middle brother. I could only slighly connect with the middle brother. The dialogue throughout this film is very flat. The only scene I liked was when Casey met the psychic and she was foreshadowing the immediate danger he was going to run into. Now that was a memorable and intriguing scene. The stalk and fight scenes are also very weak once the boys confront the clowns. I thought this sucked that there was like zero gore and all the kills were off screen. Man, is this film overrated. By the way, my opinion is not influenced by what heinous crime the director did or the few brief scenes of kiddie like porn. I am solelyjudging on quility {or lack of) of film. I am just glad I did not pay much for the renatal. Hope this answers your question.

If you have never seen the movie "IT" I say DEFINITELY rent it! It is completely worth the price of a rental (and more). Much better than Clownhouse.

IT is the best 'killer clown' movie out there, even though It was not really a clown (it becomes the worse fear of whoever it is after, just likes the clown-form...) It is also a good horror movie in general...

I think this movie is like "Halloween", but with clowns. Very scary movie.

The first time I saw this movie, I was up late one night it was the weekend and didn't have school( I am out of school now) and I was skimming the channels and I stopped at "Clownhouse" and started watching it and I was enjoying it....so I finished it up.. it was a decent movie to be low budget 80's horror......... so a few years later I saw it at blockbuster and rented it... and then a few years later i got off Amazon for x-mas and now have it in my collection of 400+ movies ( v.h.s and dvd combined)

But Nathan Winters didn't enjoy them that much. And the police who jailed Salva for child rape didn't share his excitement, either.

well, the name alone "Killer Klownz From Outer Space" should impart to you that the movie is anything BUT boring. The movie is anti-boring, its f'n fantastic and fun as hell.
