Crappy DVD Cover Art

I'm the only one here who hates the MGM DVD Cover Art for Clownhouse?
I thought it was terrible. Not to mention that new tagline they created "The circus is in town, but nobody's laughing".
Duh!
The original taglines from the time the movie was released were much better "You never know who they really are" and my favorite: "A circus of the mind".

I was trying to find some cool pics of the movie so I could create my own bootleg cover, this movie deserves better than the MGM crappy treatment. But the only cover I found wasn't much better than the MGM one. It had Cheezo opening a door and he looked like one of the clowns of "Killer Clowns from Other Space", or something like that.

Until now, the best cover art I have seen is the one from the poster for the video premiere, the one avaible as the main image of this IMDB page. Too bad I couldn't find that image with a good quality and big enough so I could work on it.
Does anyone feel the same way? I'm not very good on Photoshop and I don't have many pics from the movie.
I'd appreciate some help with this :)

Cheers

"A Circus of the Mind" is kind of dumb if you ask me. What mind? Who's?

The one they used, and the other one you mentioned are okay.

And I thought the cover art was the one always used? I don't remember another one.

I agree, though, MGM are jerks to their DVD's, not to mention how ridiculously priced most of their titles are.

It's a sad thing that your adventures have ended here

I agree with the OP, the MGM DVD cover is terrible.

The cover used for the VHS release is similar, but doesn't look so crappy.

You can compare both here:

They should had stick with the first one for sure.

And I do prefer the tagline "A Circus of The Mind" to "Welcome to a Circus of Terror".
Most of the action doesn't even happen in the circus.
I believe that the first tagline refers to Casey's mind, since his fear of clowns is what triggers the whole movie.
